30 years between drinks

Post by deerhunter338mag »

A good mate of mine gave me a call last November to see if I would go for a drive up the bush with him after doing a fair bit of maintenance on his 4WD. He was a bit worried going on his own if something went wrong. I said no problem's and I have the spot to go. So a quick tip up the scrub to an area I know if we have trouble its not that hard to get out. After a bit of testing the 4WD all seemed really good and it was time to go for a glass and to see if we can find a deer for him to shoot, as he hasn't been hunting for 30 years. Well this is what happened with the new proof carbon rap in 338lapimp. :handgestures-thumbup:

Well done. Look like it fell at least 10 stories down the hill.

Its was a mission, But full credit to old mate, I was putting the pack on to carry it out for him (as a good guild would do   ) He said no! I shot it, it's my deer and I need to earn it so I will carry it out. I did go over in my head the CPR training.   Was an awesome effort and I think he really appreciates the hard work in recovery. :handgestures-thumbup:

When I played the video back I couldn't believe it. These big guns sure hit bloody hard.

  yes, good to have someone handy who can get you restarted in a situation like that. It was a bloody good shot but carrying that bugger out was an even better effort.

Was a mission that’s for sure. But was a great memory and a humbling experience helping a good maté achieve something he thought he would never do again.
