Had a few cracks out to 1110 meters

Post by deerhunter338mag »

Called into a mates place on Saturday to Validate the speeds on the 338Lap imp. After a bit of mucking around we seem to find the speed settings that gets a horizontal line with the bull. There was a little breeze that pushed my shots about 18" to the left but was not bad for the 1st seriously try at 1110 meters.

I was out today with a mate zeroing in he's rifle and checking my zero on my 9.3x62 and my 300wm. I end up having a play in some shocking winds from 7mph to 15mph gusts. I mostly hit my gong but I did have a crack at just under 500 meters on paper with the lap. I'm Looking forward to getting the hang of this new rifle.

I'm going to have to give that target shape a go, looks a bit funny but makes a lot of sense.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Very nice. That's some good shooting at those distances. How's that improved brass looking?

Once you get it dialed in, long range shooting is a hoot!

Good shooting.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

It's still looking good. I'm annealing every 2 shots and its holding up nicely.

2 shots in the same hole is often luck......3 in the same hole is using Olsens shooting stick....

Give you the exact point of aim every time. More designed for 100 meters groups but no problems out to 500mt if you have the magnification in your scope. If not a big dot.

Excellent grouping, perfect elevation. I'm waiting to see the end results of the practice.

Every shot was horizontal which made it so easy to work out the speed. The rifle and load is excellent it's now time to put a bit of blood on it.
