That is an awesome effort!

You must have an 100MOA pic rail on it or one of those adjustable pic rails....
Yup. At 3300 I need 189 minutes shooting at roughly sea level.

Discogodfather, that is one "crazy amount" of scope adjustment. Just amazing. I've ditched my Cheytac 375 barrel and am now shooting a 338 Snipetac using 300 grain Bergers. Ballisticaly I felt the 338ST had better available bullets for long range hunting...

It's a .375 CT Bartlien Barrel, 30"
Mcrees Chassis
Stiller Action (the bigger 408 1.6" version).
Jewel trigger

Tons of custom stuff on the rifle I built myself like an adjustable cheek system and a special carry handle. Weighs about 32 lbs with the scope.

The optics have changed quite a bit but now I am using a March High Master 10-60x56 with the new ED glass. It sits on a Recknagel (ERA Tac) adjustable base with a Charlie Tarac periscope. Earlier (like in that old photo) I used a Sightron 10-50x60mm with a cold shot Moab base that could adjust out to 300 minutes. I should take some more current pics.

Load is a 350 grain solid cutting edge bullet with Peterson brass and Retumbo, fed 215's. Around 3000 at the muzzle.

It's always an ongoing process. I used am APM Binotelescope to spot, and a Vectronix 21 to range. Kestrel 5700 elite, tons of range cards I make myself. Shoot in central California, a place called Panoche hills. It's very challenging.

The gear keeps getting crazier and crazier.....

Awesome set up . I’ve had 2 Stiller action now.one one my 338Rum and currently on my 338lapimp. I’m going a Bat action on my next build which is a 338 snipetac. It might be a Bartlien barrel or Rock creek not sure yet. But I’ll be giving the 2k + meters a go once it ready towards the end of the year.

338 Snipetac is very cool, it has much more application when hunting I agree. It's still popular with long range shooters as well, a few guys I know still shoot it. It was also present at the K02M a few years back. The long range target guys are starting to think, in general, that the larger bullets have advantages in competitions for spotting purposes, both in trace and in splash. Lots of guys, including David Tubb, were using plain old 338 LM and he usually embarrasses all competitors out to the 2400 yard target. He only missed one shot on the 1000, 1 mile, and 2400 target in the 2017 K02M.

I think at 2 miles the lack of spotting hits becomes the problem, they are even complaining about .375 having the issue as well. Lots of .416 popping up, especially with the barret team.

For ,375 it's all solids these days, I stopped shooting the smk's a few years ago when I finally figured out how to load solids.

From a LR hunting prospective the 338 Sniptac is the king. Great range of projectiles you can use with Bergers been at the top of the list. The biggest problem with the 375 CT is the lack of hunting projectiles with high bc that kill. I did here that sierra made a hi BC long range hunting projectile on the grapevine but there’s no sign of it been released or any info been let out. Now if they did... what a game changer that would be. What we did with the sierra smk for the 375ct was modifie the tips and then change the BC on them. They worked great for hunting but at a big cost to make as they needed to be machined for constancy. Some guys charged 1-2 bucks each projectile. Some might say that’s cheap but also add the cost of buying a 1000 projectiles then getting them modified for $2   . No cheap at all. We tried the Rocky Mountain projectiles but found issues with the tips. In the end guys just went the Sniptac.

Love your set up Discogodfather. Long range is certainly not for the faint hearted. Your equipment is certainly top notch. Would be good to watch one of those extreme long range comps. Pity they don't web or pod cast it.
