Elmer barrel in .224 Valkyrie (What bolt/mag?)

Post by Mcardenal »

Hello gang,

I’m thinking about jumping on the early .224 Valkyrie bandwagon.
I have already inquired with Mr. Elmer and he informed me that he is ready and able.
But before I green light it I was hoping for a little community feedback.

1. What bolt/magazine would work?
2. I already have an Elmer in 6.5 Creedmoor

I’m open to comments/opinions

Thanks

Martin

I'm pretty sure you won't have much success here. The Valkarie is based of the 6.8SPC/ 6mm Hagar/ 30 Remington case which is between the .223 and .308 bolt face size, so no bolt, no magazine for the R8/R93. You could do one on the K95 with some extractor modifications.

Thanks Robert,

That's what i figured. I just needed to get validation.
Shame. It looks to be a really fun round.
