So Far So Good

Post by Corjack »

In my PRS league, I am currently 6th out of 232 shooters. I have shot one more match than most have, but my goal is to stay on the first page if at all possible.

That a really good attitude Ron to have. I have 2 mates that do it out here. One does it because they won’t let him shoot humans in Adidas clothing that run around with AK47’s anymore. The other does it for the competition side of it. But when he doesn’t win he sooks right up. Sad thing is that he doesn’t know it but now has the reputation of a sook. I’m always ask to get into it and the more I see it the more I’m starting to shine towards it. Lot of practice and training goes into it.

Good work, Ron. For those of us ignorant about the sport, what do the numbers mean? Percentage of hits?

Yep, percentage of hits. The winner gets 100% even if he only hit 90% of the targets and then every one else gets a percentage on a sliding scale based off of the winners 100%.

Also, now that I have four matches in, and I shoot a match at better than any of my other scores, my lowest score drops off. End of the season is your four best scores.

Here is a picture of me telling a storie about my exploits. Yes, it is snowing, and yes, it was cold, wet and miserable.

That's a whole lot of dedication. Congrats on your shooting. I recall the old days when we first met and the Ron I knew back then probably wouldn't have dreamed of even shooting in this kind of competition. Good stuff.

I have slipped to 10th place out of 269 shooters. Knocked off a 49 percent today by getting a 62 percent. Next Saturday need to get at least a 56 percent score.

Looks like a summers day on the Majura range in Canberra

Good Shooting Ron, at least we just get wind, rain, and overzealous range officials at Belmont, no snow :D
