Hello from northern Germany

Post by Ishmael »

Hi all!

Im a hunter, 41 years old and living and hunting in northern germany. Currently i own a Blaser R8 Prof. Success in .308 Win with 22mm barrel (Jagdmatch) and a Blaser BS95 in 7x65R and 5,6x50R Magnum. Right now i plan on buying another R8 in 6,5x55 for hunting and competition shooting.
Almost a year ago i started with reloading and realized it is a lot of fun to build your own ammo

Beside all that i go fishing too, ruinning with my dogs (belgian shepards) and program computers....

All the best from germany!

Hi Ishmael and welcome to Blaser Buds. You already know how nice the Blasers are. I visit Germany often and am forming a medical device company in Saxony Anhalt located in Magdeburg but I operate mostly out of Berlin. Is that anywhere near you? I hope you enjoy BB and share your hunting stories with us.

Hi Bob!

Thanks for your friendly welcome. Yes, you're right, i really like my Blaser's.

Berlin ist not that far away from me. I think about 2-2.5hours from here. I live in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Im looking forward to find interesting and friendly people here.

What is hunting competition?

Is it like moving targets or field positions?

Welcome aboard! Sounds like you have a good start on Blasers already and are putting them to use.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

Ishmael,

I have been lucky to been able to hunt in Forst Hesse each year since 2007. In the Hunting section of the forum see R 8 in Germany September 20, 2014 and Hunting in Germany November 24, 2013.

Welcome on board Ishmael. Blaser love is pretty frequent on this board ;) There are also lots of reloaders here.

Do you also practice long range shooting?
