9.3X62
(Cartridge) 9.3X62
(Brand of bullet) Hornady
(Weight of bullet) 285 grains
(Brand of brass) Hornady
(Type of powder) IMR8208XBR
(Grains of powder) 56.0
(Brand, and type of primer) Federal Gold Medal Match 215 Magnum Large Rifle
(COL) 3.150"
(FPS) 2,366
(Rifle) Blaser R8
(Barrel Length) 23"
(Scope) Leupold 36X
(Weather conditions & temp.) 64 degrees F., damp and gloomy, light winds
(Accuracy @ 100 yards/meters) One Hole for 3 shots, opening up to .24" for 5 shots
(Notes) I like IMR8208 because it is dense, with a fast enough burn rate to fit compactly in the case so that the bullet can be seated to the channeler without risking over compressing the powder and bulging the case.

Re: 9.3X62
First time I really looked at this. Besides accuracy, the velocity is pretty decent.

Damn fine shooting! I'd say that load is pretty consistent.
It doesn't matter what you shoot as long as you shoot

Re: 9.3X62
Yes, good work there Bob, I'm using the same on the projectile on the 9.3x74R BBF,
I suppose I could improve its performance but I got to remind myself its a blaser double rifle at 100m lol!

That's a very fine load and shooting there Bob.
Powerful and extremely accurate.

Lookin' good. I'll have to take note and give this load a try, excellent.

Re: 9.3X62
Great group Bob!! Maybe the best I have seen in a 9,3x62.
I only have poor groups in both my R8 and my R93 using this bullet. Both groups the same with the Interlock.
With Nosler Accubond 250 I get sub MOA using the same powder, brass and primer. It has even improved since I swiched to CCI BR2 primers and Lapua brass for this season.
With the Interlock 286 groups open to 2" or even more. Did I should give a try to magnum primers maybe?
My Accubond stock is very narrow and looks like Nosler don't makes their since years... So the Interlock was my second bullet. Tried it half season and kills the same despite the poor grouping.

Re: 9.3X62
Has anyone tried this with 250s in 9.3 ?
It's another Australian made powder, and I have some of it. Been thinking it could be good with 150s in 308, but hadn't thought of trying it in the 9.3.
My dwindling stock of 250 Accubonds has an accurate load already, and I am reluctant to "dwindle" my stash further with load experimenting, but Bob's results are very seductive
