Fair Tax Rally
I attended a fair tax/tea party movement rally this afternoon. There where about 500 to 600 poeple in attendance. Barbara Fairchild was on stage singing, and the crowd was very patriotic, I estimate the minority attendance at about 2.5%, so the cries of racism by the left is just not true. Everbody was welcome and the attendees all seemed happy to be there.

Good show, let's hope America comes out to vote from now on. Not just the over-educated and un-educated! Still amazes me that those two groups would be supporting the same party/candidate.... If we want to take America back we'll have to fight in every election from now till hell freezes over.

I wish we could field a conservative 3rd party candidate with a personality. That would scare the stuffing out of the two parties.

It would be nice but unfortunately I don't see it happening. Both parties have their died in the wool followers with the democrats having locked up the welfare and 'gimme' bunch so a third party would only split the Republicans. When I was a kid I used to watch wrestling on television. I was able to go to a couple of wrestling matches at the local arena. The 'blood feuds' on the screen and in the arena were exciting and got people all excited for 'their guy or their team'. Later when I became a police officer and would go by the local coffee shops at 3 am I'd find the opposing wrestlers sitting around a couple of tables having breakfast visiting like best friends would. That is what our political system appears to be more and more to me. They put on big shows and later go drinking together laughing how they are pulling the wool over our eyes. We need term limits in every office! The day of the career politician needs to end and end now. Their only concern is getting re-elected to their cushy job with butt loads of perks and inside deals to make they wealthy! George Washington believed it was a public service to run for office, serve your country and then return to your JOB! The public service stint was not your job but a duty and a service you provided for your country. It would take a Constitutional Amendment to get term limits in the House and Senate but if we’re going to have a chance at turning this around it’s a good start.

Re: Fair Tax Rally
All polititions should be limited to two terms, one in office and then one in prison!

That would definitely cut down on the number of people wanting those terms!
