The Ithaca is working out great. I have shot about four different brands of 3" slugs and the same slugs in 2.75". The shotgun does somewhat better with the 3" slugs though. I settled on the Federal Premium Trophy Coppers. I'm achieving approximately 1.75" groups at 100 yards. I'm pleased with the slug gun.

The barrel does heat up quickly and groups do open up with some fliers, especially in the summer heat, so extended cooling periods are needed between shots. No worries though, since I only shoot it maybe once or twice a year during our deer season.
