New R8 Owner

Post by ahawks87 »

I am wanting to introduce myself. Just order an R8 Professional S Offroad & picked up part of it earlier this week (parts on backorder from EuroOptics). Been wanting one for 2 years but something came up and bought something else. Glad to join the group.

Welcome aboard mate. Lots of good information and friendly people on this site.
You will love the R8. Since I took the plunge that is all I use most of the time now.
It's a real benifit shooting rabbits with a 223, and the same action, same stock, same trigger, same decocker etc, for everything else.
You really get used to your rifle!
I personally have
223
6XC
7x64
9.3x62
500 Jeffery.

Enjoy

Welcome to Blaser Buds, you will love the R8 we sure do. What caliber did you get to start out with and what do you plan to do with it?

Thanks. I currently have it in 7mm-08. In about 3 months I will either buy either an profession success stock receiver since I am not sure I can just upgrade from my professional s receiver to the stock and buy a new trigger assembly or buy the magnum bolt head and a 7mm mag and 375 h&h. Right now trying to figure out what scope I am wanting to put on to figure which scope mount to buy. It will be either a Zeiss Conquest HD5 5-25 or a Vortex PST 6-24.

Welcome aboard and congrats on your first R8. The professional success comes with it's own trigger assembly so it's ready to add the bolt housing, bolt, barrel and mag. I don't own a professional but it's on my list of things to add when the time is right. They do feel good and they also reduce the felt recoil for those larger calibers.
