RIP Ratatuoille

Post by mchughcb »

Froz keen after her couple of fox death holds on Sunday decided to bring in an unwanted visitor this afternoon that set the missus off when she jumped on the couch to show her

Never thought she'd be fast enough to get one but get it herself she did.

Then later tonight they treed another one in the mandarin tree, its going to die

Their hunt drive has driven dramatically since the missus started feeding them sweet potato and carrot. Boy they'll kill for a rabbit  :?

They can be quick when they want to be. Back when I was in year 8,9 my mate had a sausage dog there were never any rodents or cats in the back yard, and he was quick to grab and eat any bird we would shoot with a slug gun, including the neabours pigeons that strayed into our airspace.

My wife loved that movie. I said it won't be as fun when the rats come and two years ago they did. But the hounds are on patrol 24/7.

I think I have posted this before, but Dachies are lightning fast when they get within range. Open ground can make getting within range hard, but once their head, neck and shoulders are close enough, it's lights out.

Not surprising when one considers that their forte was designed to be working in confined spaces. Having two used to working together, as you have, makes it exponentially more difficult for critters to escape the strike.
