Moving to Mexico
Dear President Obama:
I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.
We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. Into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.
We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws.
I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over?
Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. Please print all Mexican government forms in English.
4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.
5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag poles at their school.
7. Please plan to feed my grand kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but, I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. Flag from my house top, put U S. Flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.
13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.
14. I want to receive free food stamps.
15. Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.
16. I'll need Income tax credits so although I don't pay Mexican Taxes, I'll receive money from the government.
17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Gov't pays $4,500 to help me buy a new car.
18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in retirement.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who walk over to the U.S. From Mexico. I am sure that President Calderon won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.
Thank you so much for your kind help. You're the man!!!
(And don't forget the free cell phone that I am entitled to).

Well we're gonna miss ya. But do me a favor before you leave.... tell your Dad that I'll take over your hunting rights. That way we can make sure they go to some needy individual. And good luck on your new home, thinking you're gonna need more than luck!

Retrieverman is generally known as a person of a few words, except for those most interesting hunting episodes he describes so well.
Obviously something must have moved him substantially to put up this post.
The regrettable thing about true democracies is it allows people with the gift of the gab to become elected leaders and it takes several years for the people to realize they have been duped. . . . .yet again.

Re: Moving to Mexico
Let's just say that things are going to hell here and a lot of us don't like what we're seeing. Seeing the USA rapidly approaching 3rd world status doesn't set well. And unfortunately we have too much of a 'democracy' which is allowing those who want to live off the government getting their way by voting thieves into power via the last presidential election. They want a government that takes from those who work and gives it to those who don't. Osama calls it social justice. Lots of stuff going on here that is 'pissin' people off. Those of us living in what used to be Mexico - (until we kicked their butt and made it independent, AND SHOULD HAVE STAYED THAT WAY!) aren't terribly fond of seeing that it may well be Mexico again soon. And our so call government is aiding those with that intention.....which adds more fuel to the fire.skeetshot wrote:Retrieverman is generally known as a person of a few words, except for those most interesting hunting episodes he describes so well.

Re: Moving to Mexico
We have the same thing here with all the rubbish they let in from the middle east. When they move in how quickly they can turn a relatively nice community into their on private war zone. Burnt out cars, house hold rubbish dumped outside their homes. The list go's on. But they have very nice Shara turbo's in the drive way's

Re: Moving to Mexico
OK guys, I have to fess up. I "borrowed" this letter from another board, but it pretty well verbalizes how I feel about the current social and political situation here.
The real kicker is that "WE" would not be welcome in Mexico as "WE" are EXPECTED to welcome those coming over here, and there lies the rub. I have some very good hispanic friends whose families have been in Texas as long as my family has (1836), and they are as American as apple pie. It is the border jumpers who come over here and try to cram their culture down our throats that burns me.
By golly, if you come over here to work, get a job and don't immediately start trying to suck on the government tit. If you want to have 15 kids, you had better have a dang good job to support them. I only have 3 kids, and they are about to break me. I sure can't support mine and yours.
If one of your 15 kids gets a cough, go to WalMart and buy some cough medicine. The emergency room is for people with real emergencies.
If you want to send your kids to school, fine, but they dang well better be able to speak and understand ENGLISH. My wife is an ENGLISH teacher, and she shouldn't have to translate her lessons so your kids can understand them. Another thing, my kids have to bring or buy their lunches at school, and yours should too.
I could go on all night, but I will stop here. I believe my point has been made, but by posting it on here, I am just preaching to the choir.

Re: Moving to Mexico
Glad you mentioned the bit about the native Hispanics. Most people don't know that a good portion of the defenders of the Alamo and those who fought for Texas Independence were Hispanic. They are pure Texan and proud of this state and what it has done for them and their families just as we are. However the bunch from south of the border who come here to ride the gravy train are the problem. The ones who come here 8 months pregnant so their children can be born citizens of the USA are a problem.
Currently we have a pretty good sized migration of working Mexican people who are fleeing Mexico because of the drug wars and general corruption of the government. They are bringing businesses in and bringing their families here the legal way. As you put it, anybody who wants to come here and be a productive part of our state is more than welcome. We've all hired 'illegals' who are looking for a better way of life and are willing to work hard here to accomplish a better life for their families back home. They're good people and very honest people just as the rest of us try to be. And believe me they are more disgusted by the others than we are!
As for Australia, yep we hear bits and pieces about your immigrant problems too. Shame but in all honesty it is their plan to take over the world by immigrating and breeding. Not much you can do about it because society won't let you
'cure' the problem.

I'm a very strong believer that ever thing does a full circle. The sad bit is by the time the polly's work that out it will be to late, and the damage will be done. The Greens and do-gooders of society are the one's that need to be shot. We have a lot of Boat people trying to get in to Australia over here as they know we are a soft target and have weak Law's. Just imagine trying to get in by boat over there they would blow us out of the water. Lesbian and poofter do-gooders. Middle eastern people have no respected for law and order or fallow man, they just do what they want and they know that our justices system is only for the honest person. We have a specialise task force unit solely for them. Great country Australia

Great response – it made me chuckle.thechamp wrote:Well we're gonna miss ya.
I remember Archie Bunker's line from the "70's - "one's a novelty and two's a ghetto." I don't fully believe it myself but just think it's funny. Thirty years ago I worked with Mexican's on the pipeline when I was in college. All were hard workers. They worked at a slower pace than I, but when I was tired and resting they just kept on working. Of course, they were highly motivated because they appreciated having a high paying job. All were legal in this country. They worked hard all summer and fall before going back to Mexico for the winter and living like kings.
My retirement plan has in it that I'm moving to Mexico in 10 years. I figure all the Mexicans will be in the US by then and I can have the run of the country. Yes, I'll be armed.
Sorry - I meant to say Hispanics, not Mexicans.

Re: Moving to Mexico
My favorite movie line is in the original Lonesome Dove, the Mexican cook is unhappy about being bossed around, and says to Gus,"Abraham Lincoln has freed the slaves" Gus replies "Abraham Lincoln may have freed the slaves, but he sure as hell didn't free no damn Mexicans" I may have not quoted this right, but you get the Idea. In my travels I have spoken to several hard working, honest hispanics. They came to the US to get out of the hellhole that is Mexico, the last thing they want is for the US to become like the place they fled, they are apalled at todays immigrants that want to change things to be like what they left, they are further appalled at the cooperation that the US and some state governments are giving them in this matter. The US was thought to be their finale sanctuary. Where do the go next? Where will we all go next? Until we get the government back on track to being a safety net rather than an institution thate doles out entitlements to the masses, and borrows money from foriegn contries to pay for it, then steals money from the people that are actually getting some work done in the form of economy stiffling taxes, just to pay the interest on these loans, we are screwed. It is time to start fixing things, and it has been time for a good while now.

Two Mexican detectives were investigating the murder of Juan Gonzalez.
'How was he killed?' asked one detective.
'With a golf gun,' the other detective replied.
'A golf gun! What is a golf gun?'
'I don't know. But it sure made a hole in Juan.'
