(Notes) Worked great on this stag. He looks a bit scruffy due to losing his winter coat but was in great condition. Side on at 40 yards through the shoulders. He dropped inside 15 yards. Noise is very similar to a suppressed .22 rifle using sub sonic ammo. I found the projectile under the skin on the opposite shoulder. Perfect mushroom. Minimal meat damage. I will keep shots with this load inside 75 yards. Also very effective on hares and possums.

Not sure what the mould is Bob. I get them from a local auction site https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listin ... 1412718165. My full power loads are zeroed at 100 yards. The subs shoot 5 inches low at 50 yards. The top of the thick part of the post on the z3 3-10 works perfectly for a 50 yard zero for the subs. I really enjoy having a few of them on my belt. It's like having a second gun with me but with out the weight. I am always coming across "pest" species while hunting and these loads are perfect to use without disturbing game that might be around the corner.

That is a good mushroom. I'd heard good reports about those projectiles but hadn't seen any used projectiles.
Nosler are bringing out a subsonic .308 projectile but will be around 200-220gr. They might be worth a try, but will be around $60 per 50 I'd heard.
The kipplauf will be nice and easy to switch from subs to supers.

How is the full load performance with the 15 inch tube? can you still get a 180 up to 2500fps?

And please tell us you have another barrel in a real calibre such as 7x65R that's still 24 inches and used for tahr

Full power loads are Barnes 130 gr ttsx doing just under 3000fps. I've never lost an animal with them so I'll stick with them .
