New brake fitted

Post by deerhunter338mag »

Just picked up my R93 300wm barrel with the new T2 Terminator brake fitted. The old brake was ok but there’s no comparison to the Terminator brakes. Now to test it to make sure it all shoots the same which I think it will. Then off to nail a Sika with it.

The Terminator can definitely drop down the recoil more then any another break can.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Did you have a mate with a nice 300 barrel with a Terminator on it to base yours on?

I have an itching for one of those.
Are they really that much better?

Nah a mate about 10 min for me. He had a brake that was from a different job that wasn’t used all ready with the same thread as mine. The barrel just needed a few mil cut extra in thread to be plumb, then checked to make sure everything was sweet. I was very luck that he had one there. Big saving.

Chief very simply “yes”. The old brake was good with just a very small bit of movement that moved you off the target just a touch. With the Terminator you just watch the vapour trail and the projectile hit the target. Now keep in mind it’s all about loading the rifle up correctly as well. But the difference was worth getting it done.

I’ve had a T2 terminator on my 338Rum which was a light set up and it did the same and I have a T3 on my 338lap imp and it’s a great feeling watching your target been hit at over 1000m.

Well worth the time and money to have one fitted.

This is a video that Greg made with verious other brakes to compare the Terminators with.

Looks like terminator has changed the profile of the cut outs.

Love to see what difference it would make on the 416 in some hot loads

Yep Terminator brakes are the bees knees of brakes. Simply the best recoil reduction you can get. All of Greg's videos show how his brakes smash the others. Love the way your 338 lap tracks with it...

Only prob with them is their profile won't allow them to fit in my Blaser R8 barrel in 338WM due to the front site. Unless I have it machined down.
