That is really an awesome contraption. Probably be good for any kind of hunting as long as you could drive it there. Park it in the area you want to hunt and you've got everything you could ask for - and then some!

I might build one just to go live in it.
I wonder if it has a generator and a fridge?

That is a lot of trouble to go to for shooting something that is nearly inedible.

Illegal Hunting Methods
You may not hunt migratory waterfowl:
1.With a trap, snare, net, rifle, pistol, swivel gun, shotgun larger than 10 gauge, punt gun, battery gun, machine gun, fish hook, poison, drug, explosive or stupefying substance.
2.From a sink box or any other low floating device that conceals you beneath the surface of the water.
3.From a motorboat or sailboat, unless you shut the motor off or furl the sail and the vessel is no longer in motion.
4.Using live birds as decoys.
5.Using recorded or electrically amplified bird calls or sounds.
6.While possessing any shot other than approved nontoxic shot.
7.With a shotgun that can hold more than three shells, unless you plug it with a one-piece filler that cannot be removed without disassembling the gun.
8.From or by means, aid or use of any motorized vehicle or aircraft. If you are a paraplegic or are missing one or both legs, you may hunt from a stationary motorized land vehicle.

Re: How good it this duck Blind
Looks like it wouldn't be legal in its present configuration. Funny thing is they allow a boat to be used as long as the motor is off. I'll never understand the logic, or should I say lack of logic that goes into writing game laws! It does say motorized.... so I'm thinking that if you built this blind on a 16' trailer and towed it to the hunting spot if should be legal? Then unhook your tow vehicle and move it a bit away, throw a camo tarp over it and go hunting!Explorer wrote:Very nice blind![]()

I saw a duck blind recently on another forum that was built like a pontoon boat using two galvanized culvert pipes filled with Styrofoam as the pontoons. It had a place to mount a small portable outboard to push it to the hunting area. It had a 'building' built on it that resembled the one in this video. Maybe not quite as fancy but pretty elaborate. Duck hunters definitely take their sport very seriously. Have to add that I've never tasted a duck that I thought was good! Friend of mine was raised in Louisiana and he thought duck gumbo was the absolute best thing on earth. I won't say what it looked like but it dam sure didn't look appetizing!
