Which one would you take or should I just split the difference. I seriously doubt I would take a shot much past 200 yds with it.

Very accurate but you could probably gain 200fps by switching to Reloader 7 rather than 10.

What do you intend to aim them at?

At 200 yards or less? Think about it; you are over-thinking it

Unless you are culling ticks off of your dog, you’ll be fine. :D

You are probably right GBE and I thought of RL-7 but I already had RL-10x. The reason for the 305gr Lehigh is it is California legal and sould be perfect for shooting pigs. Also the recoil, I think, is down to the .375 range so makes for good practice.

Yes, it is a no brainer but if I was to go after ticks it would be on a coyote. What I was happy about is it was my first hand load attempt with the .458 Lott. Sometimes you get lucky.

That's very nice grouping for a 458 Lott. I think if you want to cull ticks on a coyote, just shoot the coyote in the boiler room and all the ticks will die. :shhh:
