Thanks everyone for the kind words. I am getting to a point in life where my ability to travel and hunt can pick back up, and I want to do most of my hunting with the kipplauf. They are easy to travel with, and light and compact to pack around while hunting, but still accurate and capable weapons. I have a 222, 30-06 and 9.3x74r in the half stock rifle version and 308 in the Stutzen version, but what else would the world traveling hunter need? I think I have it covered and could adjust the loading for the type of hunt I am going on but would you add a caliber?
Kipplauf Javelina with the .22 Hornet k95
The K95 now has three under it’s belt but we are tagged out on the first day so hunting Coyotes now.
I shot one Javelina at 146 yards from the sitting position, Tim shot one from about 150 yards running, then I shot another from about 75 yards. All with the 45 grain Sierra soft point. The two I shot standing were clean kills but Tim’s required a finishing shot due to shot placement on the running Javelina. Then Tim shot another with his CZ 6.5x55.

I hunt, I shoot, I camp, I fish. They are the great reset buttons in my life.

Good off- hand shooting Chuck....certainly a single shot is a lot slower than rifles with a bolt and magazine. I guess you've gotta make the 1st shot count. Would be tricky with dangerous game I guess.

My first deer i shot with it was a wounded fallow that blaser bud oscar shot with his M03 9.3. It was a snap shot at 5m when it jumped up and ran from its bed. Offhand shooting should be practiced because you never know when you will need it. Its not a DG rifle but a rifle that gives me pleasure to carry and shoot.
Well I took my kipplauf out chamois hunting. Should really be called kipplauf missing. Got one shot at a buck and pulled the shot, just missed him. I'll put some video together later.
