Howdy

Post by Bwtf »

Gday, Well I finally took the plunge on a lh R93, been looking at a blaser for years and as much as I prefer a k95, this will have to do. Be a little while before I get my Permit through, but that should give me a bit of time to get some mounts.

I've used a straight pull rim fire for a fair while so don't think I will struggle with the blaser action.

Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

You'll love it when you get it. Being able to remove the scope and not lose zero takes a bit of getting use to though.
I ended up selling my R93 and getting a K95, so eventually you will see the light.

You will enjoy the R93, even if it holds more ammo than a K95

Thanks going to be interesting to see how it goes with the Blaser. I've had a Sauer 202 so I guess this will be the next experience and be good to compare, the blaser is certainly more takedown friendly.

I have both a 202 and Blaser, The 202 is a great gun, but in my opinion is inferior to the Blaser R93/R8. It will be interesting to hear your thoughts after you grow accustomed to the Blaser.

Welcome to the forum. Be very surprised if the Blaser bug doesn't bite you  . Great kit and the break down, return to zero, accuracy of the units is outstanding.

Got the R93 in 30/06 and 375, should be fun in the latter cal. Been a while since I've owned a 375, luckily still got a box of ammo. :D

Would anyone be able to recommend a good place in Oz to order mounts from? Looking at mounting a Z3 4-12 on the 06 and an Aimpoint H2 on the 375.
Thanks

Euro optics in the US , great service fast delivery, and most of the time cheaper than what we can get here in OZ.

And with Europtics you'll get the Blaser screwdriver throw in with the saddle mount. Mialls charges $35 extra for the screwdriver used to adjust the mount.
