On an R8 I level the reticle with flat receiver (bolt removed); set my scope mounted (accuracy 1st) level - then use gravity with a distant string/plumb bob to verify relationship of the permanently attached scope level to the reticle.
With this method you can move that scope to another rifle without going through the process again.

Those scope leveling and bore sighting muzzle attachments are damn good too.
I've had one for a while but I keep doing it the old fashioned way anyway.

For those poor people that don’t have an IPhone, the Wheeler engineering “Professional” Reticle Leveling System works very well
