Yeah I see it now, at least it will come back brand new and fully serviced. :handgestures-thumbup:

Yep I guess every cloud has a silver lining. :handgestures-thumbup: The scope is already in the post, Safari Firearms should have it Wednesday next week and they reckon about a 6 week turn around.

That's the only bummer with euro glass, the turnaround for repairs. :handgestures-thumbup:

I rattled the erector tube loose in my 1.25-4x S&B earlier this year. Gary was great to deal with and the whole ocular was replaced and the scope returned far quicker than S&B predicted. Arrived back same day as my first opportunity to sight in its replacement!

Just had a phone call from Safari firearms. My S&B 4 power has returned from Germany and is now with Australia post. Should have her back on the rifle within the week.

I'm impressed with S&B's turn around time on warranty work and can't fault Safari Firearms service. :handgestures-thumbup:

Cheers

Great stuff Rod, fantastic service from S&B, and Safari Firearms are one of the best Gunshops to deal with in Australia. :handgestures-thumbup:

She's going alright. Shoots better than me. Target shot at 100 yards, 4 power S&B.

Nothing wrong with that.
Just goes to show, you don't need a high magnification scope to shoot good groups.
I just put a 4x36 Scmidt and Bender on my 8x68S.
Lovely little scope.

Unfortunately there are not enough of us who appreciate a nice 4x scope. Or a 2.5x or 3x for that matter. :handgestures-thumbup:

I prefer lower power optics myself, 1-4x and 2-7x are my go to scopes, and I never use anything bigger then 10x :handgestures-thumbup:
