BBF97 thoughts to cover all season
Its not about cathing the rabbit. Its about chasing him
So I have two barrel set on my BBF97
20/76 243win and 12/76 9,3x74R.
I've bought 20/76 243win set becouse I love 243win caliber for some hunts and found it in very nice price.
I use 9,3x74r set from 21 August (begginig of Red deer season in Poland) till the end of Febuary (end of Red deer season in Poland). I use it for everythig in that time period. Driven and indyvidual hunts. Duck, pheasent, Fox, Hare, roe, Red deer, Wild boar etc. When i go esspecialy for roe or Fox then I like to switch for 243win.
243 win set I use from March till August. For roebuck, wildboar and occadional Fox controll. No duck season or any other species to require buckshot shot.
I like to use 243 win set also for range training.
So in 243 win set i dont need shot barrel
So now i'm thinking about barrel insert for fallowup shot if It is needed.
What do you think about that?
Will a 9,3x74r insert fit for a 20 gauge barrel?

You have to understand that this idea is poor mans bergstutzen I've bought 243 win set for around 700 euro. I can find insert to 20 gauge in 450 euro range.
Bergstutzen barrel cost around 2800 euro and for my uwagę i need follow up shot just in case or for a seconda game to take.
Its about chasing that rabbit
