(Notes) I seated it down to the crimp, not compressed but close to it.
Consistent velocity with a surprising ES of 15fps, very low recoil and noise, louder but similar to a 22mag.

It will make a perfect varmint round, cheap, accurate, easy on the shoulder and the ear.

I just did the math on this load, it has the trajectory of a 22mag, cost exactly the same as Highland 22mag ammunition and has over 3X the energy.
I think I achieved everything I wanted from this load.

Looks like a very useful load to me. I’ve used very simular loads for dispatching small to medium vermin with reduced recoil and muzzle blast.

I'll be interested to hear how the HP opens up at those speeds.

They are a varmint round with a big, deep hollow point so I expect them to open up fine at lower velocity.
They look like a big Winchester super X 22WMR bullet.

Speedy - where do these print in relation to your full power loads? Is there a big zero change required?

I don't actually know, I've got a second scope for those loads.
But I could easily hit a 200m gong with them, standing unsupported.
