I feel I might need to up the amount of deer hunting this year then. I'm feeling Im going to have to make up for lost time. But with only one duck on the deck as well and no quail I'll have to lift my game.

Well, I have to vent my frustrations here, as no one in my family listens to me.
My company has been very lucky that while we've been in the thick of covid territory working in hospitals and other health care facilities in the NY city and the NJ metro area, we've been lucky to be covid free.
That good streak ended last Thursday, when one of my techs tested positive while going through a pre screening for an MRI.
The crappy part is that we did a big install job at a city hospital Wednesday and I rode down and back with him in my van, no masks.
We both didn't/don't have any signs of covid and no one else in the company does either, but we all had to get tested and are awaiting the results.
Since I was in close contact and in an enclosed area with him, I'm in quarantine till the test results come back.
This crap had to happen now, just as NY state is in the process of opening back up again and my shooting clubs are starting to go through the process of getting shooting matches going too.
To alleviate my frustrations, I've been buying parts for my R8 rifle build.
I was planning on buying a component every month to lessen the drain on the wallet, but that went out the window last Friday.
My wife saw the Credit card bill and now I'm in double quarantine !
To top it off, there's riots all over NY state/city and the country too.
Good Grief !!!

Good luck mate. I have seen some reports from people saying they were in close proximity with confirmed cases and never got infected. So hopefully it turns out that way for you. Let us know either way & look after yourself.

Ditto look after your self, hopefully you test clear.
Stay away from those nutters destroying everything.
Not nice to say but will be interesting to see how rampant covid is after the close contact of the rioters.

Hopefully you stay well! All things considered, not a bad time to be kept off the streets.

Tests came back negative.
Thanks for the well wishes, they were greatly appreciated.
Now the wife can get some sleep, as she hasn't slept a wink or stepped out of the house since we took the test sat am.
Going out to get a celebratory covid milk shake !!

Looks like Riots and looting have broken out. So social distancing seems to taken a backseat when you need your mate to loot a 72" flat screen.

No no no, the riots are about social justice.
Everyone knows when you want to protest excessive violence then the best way is to form a violent mob and attack innocent people's livelihoods.
Or if you want to protest excessive measures for public safety for that matter.

On a very serious note Re the riots, the most inspirational thing I've seen in years was when police were badly out numbered at the Alamo, armed citizens formed a line in front of the police to help out and saved an incredibly important national landmark.
That's what I will remember about it.
I'm soft and I don't care.
