No, just testing it, but they are a great unit. Even during the hottest, brightest of days we've had this year.

One does not need thermal for that.

Very impressive image quality, although on digital zoom it seems to lose a little sharpness.

Yes it does look a bit pixelated at 4X which I'm assuming is 2.5X x 4X = 10 power. However it was during the middle of an very hot sunny day and as much as I could turn the brightness down I did. When looking during the night it was unbelievably good detail and didn't come across as quite as pixelated. Going to be interesting to see who their market is. Most pros I know have gone down the pulsar route so I'm not sure they are going to drop extra money on a Leica. Maybe they will I don't know. I'd like to look at the Leica Calonox Sight and compare that with a Pulsar Core setup if I can.

I will say this. Every electrical device I've used that uses a standard 18650 battery gets a big thumbs up from me. They are cheap, last a long time and easy to source. Unfortunately neither Leica or Pulsar have this. The cheaper chinese units do.

I agree and I thought that Pulsar was going to use an 18650 battery instead of the B back system for the thermion scope line, but then they wouldn't make any money if you didn't use their proprietary batteries, which you always need more than one to get through the night for some reason.
If you look at most of the new thermal spotters, most have internal batteries and manufacturers say it's to bring the costs down.
Leica claims an 11 hour run time, but most of the competitors claim a 6 hour run time, with the usual temperature caveat.
I'm old school and need/want to have replaceable batteries in my thermals and NV, because as a friend told me, you can't recharge an internal battery when your out in the field, by plugging it into a tree.
I'm looking forward to seeing some nighttime footage.

Can it be set to detect different temperatures, so your not picking up rock faces and things like that. Just asking for a friend  :D :D
Measure it, when it’s on the deck

No doubt you can. It was 30+ degrees that day and very sunny and i had almost zero time to set the unit up to optimal settings with no manual. When i got home I looked at the website manual and it said to download the app . However when i got to the app the website says its coming soon.

Not ideal but it was worth having a look even during the day.

cool. I always like how Leica always are thinking of the hunter when developing things.
