Blaser RD20
Does anyone have any experence with the new Blaser RD20? I'm wanting a red dot optic option for my new R8 set up. I'm looking at the Blaser RD20 or the Aimpoint H2 with the Blaser QD mount.

No experience with RD20 . I’m using a H2 and a Hunter 30S , first one on my R8 and second one on my BBF97 . For shooting , H30 is nice , but a little heavier than H2 . Both , H2 and H30sS are good options , but for fast acquisition I believe H30 is a little faster to align

Another vote for the Aimpoint Micro.
For the Blaser there is a complete package available. Have a look:

Re: Blaser RD20
The red dot seems rather big on the picture but it is actually very small (2MOA)
Will give you my feedback as soon as I try it in real condition, but looks like an amazing product !

Re: Blaser RD20
The height above bore seems huge, would appear to be difficult to get a proper cheek weld.
Does anyone have the specifications for the RD20's tube center line distance from the bases top? as in from the base of the mount to center point of optic?

Yes it's actually the first thing that appear to me.
You CANNOT get a proper cheek weld, but you are not that far from it...
I still don't know if it will be a problem in action because I haven't use it yet but I will find out soon enough (hopefully).
Also I took it out for a hunt last week-end and I realised that the automatic ON/OFF didn't work on mine, regardless the orientation of the rifle the red dot was continuously ON. Not sure if my unit is defect or If I need to set it up.
Will keep you in touch

Re: Blaser RD20
It certainly looks higher than Aimpoint/Blaser mount combo.
Do Blaser still sell the Aimpoint/Mount combo, or are they pushing their own branded product, I wonder ?
