Won my first trophy at a two day precision rifle match. Accuracy International match at Altus, Baker Florida. Average shooter age was around 30, and I am nearly 59. Pretty happy about it.

Eastern PRS is a different game. How close were the scores? Usually a lot like a benchrest match in how close the scores are.

Congrats on that!!
"That if you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on the animal’s terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always recapture the day." —R.Ruark

I have attended a few matches in the west. See very few differences. Mostly the same people, same type of scores.

As far as scores go, you get around a hundred shooters engaging the same 18-20 target stages, scores tend to be close.
