Have watched with interest the Florida pastor that was going to have a Koran burning on 9-11. Have searched my soul for a couple days to try and come up with some sort of reasonable opinion on this. I for one can not understand why we need to alarm those Muslims, just looking for a reason to be alarmed. Its like picking on a kid, with ADD, and knowing exactly what buttons you need to push to get him worked up.The Koran, like the Bible and other religous documents, is just words on paper. They mean something, but they are still just words on paper. Let him burn them, they can print more, if they did not get worked up over it, the pastors Koran burning would not even make the local newspapers. To take a group of people that tend to be rather insensitive, and treat them in an insensitive manner, only raises their level of insensitivity. We can do one of two things to deal with violent, extreme views held by some Muslims. Kill them all, or figure out how to deal with them. The first choice would be the easy way out, but that is what the extremest in their midst want to do to us. If we killed them all, we would be stooping down to their level. I do not know what the answers are, but burning Korans, is not it. What we need is to get a message from space aliens, that they intend to attack us when their fleet arrives in twenty years, and we better get our manure together, or a bunch of us will end up strapped down on a cold table, with a couple of funky looking dudes inserting rudely shaped instriments up our asses. The thought of a good anal probing ought to be a strong motivator to teach us how to get along.

I hate to be a pessimist, but I figure this will get worse, before it gets better. It is a lot easier to be an anti, this or that, than be a pro, anything. When a lot of people are frustrated, they pick the target of least resistance.

What gets me is in many Muslim countries you can be killed just for owning a Bible, and they can say whatever they want about Jesus etc and make all the derogatory comments or comics you want, but make just one about that pedophile Mohammad and they start crying for blood

Whilst the pastor needed gates intervention so obama wasn't seen to be interfering, the good ole aussies had a lawyer up at queensland institute of technology smoke a couple of joints made from the Koran and Bible for good measure and then posted on youtube. I noticed since the media staked out the uni, he's gone on leave to it all blows over, and possiby to avoid a random drug test at work
