1st Sign their Back

Post by deerhunter338mag »

After the 2009 Black Saturday Bush Fires, that killed 173 people and 1000's and 1000's of live stock and various wildlife through out the area the sign of the Sambar is back  . As many people rebuild their lives and homes, so are the the animals that once lived here also. The wombats are coming back the roos are back the rabbits are back and the Sambar it back as well. He is the 1st photo I got on my Trail Cam when I checked it last night with HunterAU. He's not that big but it's great to see there back.

Oh :!: That forest looks devastated.

Glad to see your Sambhar are coming back.

Of course after the rains, nature will work its magic again, and the picture will look much better. :)

Either I was crap looking for sign before (I guess I really didn't know what to look for) but I'd say the sambar are coming back with a vengence. In the last three weeks I've put up 9.

Checked the Trail Cams on Friday night. We seen 6 deer running around we think one might of been a stag but couldn't get a good look at it. Checked the TC. I was told the area has had a bit of snow and fog in the last week or so which didn't help with the shot taken. I just picked the best out to show you

I think that's fog more than snow but they did have snow from what I was told. This cam is right on a dam so that want help much as well. I don't know the hight of that area but I would say around 600 maybe a bit more but not much. Was back there yesterday setting up 1 more trail cam and there was no sign of snow was a top day
