Marsupial fear, FHF and Outdoor Vision are a tad bit less expensive than the Kuiu. All 4 appear to have the same function in their own way at a bit less cost, those are the 3 Ill be deciding on for better protection.

Ensure you get the enclosed Marsupial one, the standard bino harness has the sides open so rain, snow can get in

Im in Southern California, not much snow but a lot of dust 😀, however you are correct in suggesting the enclosed version.

Im considering getting the fully enclosed non magnetic version
