So I mounted my new S.B. Meta 3-18x42 scope on my R8 7mmRemMag barrel and zeroed it at 100 yds.
A quick look at my Ballistic App to change temperature, and checked for dial up on the plate we have on the farm set up for verification at 565yds…..

I went home quite happy with the morning session running 168 VLD’s.

That's great shooting. I have my eye on one of these as well. Is the illuminated dot viewable in regular daylight?

I was disappointed when I purchased a Leica Amplus recently with the illuminated red dot and it was not visible during the daytime. I first replaced the battery which didn't help, and then contacted Leica because I assumed something was wrong. They assured me that was normal and it was only meant to be visible in low light conditions. With eleven settings for brightness control you would have thought they could have figured out how to make it viewable under any light. All of my other scopes brands have figured out how to do it.

Yes easily viewable in full daylight. Settings 0 to 11. Probably seen in full daylight from 6-7 onwards
Auto off function is handy.
