Well after I lifetime of purchasing mainly Zeiss optics, I have just recently purchased my first Swarovski optic.
I sold my old Zeiss spotting scope and purchased a Swarovski ATC spotting scope.
Mainly because of size. It’s much more compact than my old Zeiss. Nice clear optics, I like it, except for one annoying thing.
The power adjustment ring is very coarse and sort of feels like grit or something when changing power. It’s nothing like my old Zeiss which was silky smooth.
My question is, is this normal for the ATC spotting scope to be a little coarse when changing magnification?
Have I got anything to worry about or am I just spoiled and used to my old large but smooth Zeiss?
Any other ATC owners out there?
Allan

Re: Swarovski ATC Spotting Scope
Hi Allan,
I have checked some ATC s in my inventory and they are all running smooth and not coarse. Maybe a bit damped, but smooth! Best way is to contact Swarovski directly and ask what to do.
Best regards, Klaus
