H&K P7 M8, Best 9mm ever

Post by Corjack »

After shooting several rounds through one of my P7s, I now firmly believe the P7M8 is the best 9mm handgun ever made.

I'm with you, it's hard to beat in the 9mm class. I have three H&K's, all 9mm and my favorite is the P7M8. It's also the oldest design of the three.

While I am a Hard Core 1911 in 45 ACP kind of Guy, I too think the P7 is the best 9mm.

I had one for several years, and really liked it. My second favorite 9mm's are the Glock and the Browning High Power.

I even had a custom 1911 made up in 9mm, as a practice gun, but for serious use I would pick the P7 M8, over all other 9mm,s.

Very reliable, very accurate, and very shootable.

Always wanted to get a Browning High Power ever since I saw "Serpico" with Al Pacino in the movies when I was a youngin'.

My only experience with H&K 9mms is with the USP and I'm sorry but they are far too small in the frame and grips for me to use effectively. If the P7 is built to the same specs then It's probably another handgun that'd be no good in my hands :(

The grip of the P7 is different from any other handgun.

I prefer the M8, it is the single stack magazine, but if you have big hands you might like the M 13 better.

From the sounds of him, I bet if Gun Barrel lived in the US, he would carry a Desert Eagle in an ankle holster. He must be friggin huge if he thinks a USP is too small.

:laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

I was more thinking I'd carry a Walker Colt in my boot, or the modern equivalent Magnum Research BFR .45/70 :D

I must say that I was quite disappointed in the size of the USP

GBE, what country do you live in???

Of course IMHO, the BEST semiauto is a 1911 in 45 ACP.

Australia, where pistols can only be used on approved ranges unless you own 100,000+ ha in the middle of nowhere :( and most of our 1911's were confiscated and crushed in 2003

IF a fella picks a Browning Hi-Power for his 9mm it is hard to argue that he has not chosen well.
