What price to put on a K95 in Australia.

Post by SPEEDY »

Now the decision is made it's time to do the really hard bit, actually sell it.
But I just don't know what to put on it now, not in Australia anyway as you don't see one up for sale very often.

I need to do it soon, as even now I'm sitting here thinking maybe I should just sell the hornet barrel and buy either a CZ or Ruger M77 in a hornet as a knock around gun (figuratively speaking) to use spotlighting and off the porch at the farm.
Then keep the 30/06 stuzen for the occasional bit of light deer stalking or during the rut, and for sitting on dams waiting for pugs.
Even though I haven't shot it as a 30/06 in about 2 years, it's a very appealing idea.

But what would be a reasonable price for one these days in Australia in very good condition?
I'm soft and I don't care.

Is that new or 2nd hand, I saw it while looking it up, I also searched the sold adds on used guns, saw one the same as mine in 308 I think sold in 2023 for almost 8k
So I didn't know if that was 2nd hand or new, or if they only loose a couple of grand from new.

It’s brand new, not the base model.

Sorry about the mounts, a nate with an R8 wants the 3 that I have, although I could possibly talk him out of one, it's got a 2-7x36 Khkes on it.
Although I would like to keep that, they are just impossible to find now.
I had sort of settled today on $7500 fir the gun and $2500 fir the barrel, I think that's reasonable after looking at sold ones from past years on usedguns.

I think you're on the money asking $7500. Might have to drop a little to close a sale. The current importers apparent lack of product knowledge re anything except R8s should help with selling a pre owned K95.

Probably be a bit more saleable in Australia in the ridiculously popular Aus. favourite of 308.

Here's a nice bit of K95 incest for you - a mate has a K95 (rifle) Edition (same trim level as yours) with the next serial number from yours, and my Stutzen Edition has the next serial number from the mates K95.

Three consecutive numbers - it's a rather small club

I actually don't mind if it doesn't sell, it's really a head over heart proposition.
I got it out to take photos the other day, the moment it Waa in my hands I just wanted to take it for a hunt.
