That actually isn't that bad. $50 for a case of 24 bottles. Maybe 30-40% more than America, but the exchange rate probably cancels it out.

Here in Germany exchange rates is 1 USD per 85-90 Euro Cents. Bier is cheap as chips though. Cheaper than anything. Even really expensive fancy small batch brewery stuff is less than $7 a bottle. Normal regular small brewery beer is $1-2 a bottle. Big brewery beer is $10-15 a case of 20.
VB doesn’t really shouldn’t be labeled as beer . It’s only slightly better than Fosters.

Cheapest place I’ve ever been for alcohol was Nauru. Over the bar prices for a stubby (VB or Crown Lager only) was about $1.20 (AUD) a 1 litre bottle of Bundaberg Rum (Black) was $20 AUD.

Most expensive beer I’ve had was either in Singapore or Norway. Cheapest beer in Europe was in Denmark. Cheaper than a bottle of water.

And yes, the Germans know beer.

Oh yeah. As a result of this post I realised that I wanted some more barrel sleeves. Ordered 2 from Optics Trade and they arrived around 10 days ago.
