Threading Blaser Barrels
Anybody have any experience/comments on Silencer Centrals barrel threading service results? Thinking about sending them a couple of barrels for threading.

Re: Threading Blaser Barrels
They will not thread a standard barrel to 5/8x24. Their minimum barrel diameter required for that is 0.685. A standard is around 0.670. I called them, No Go.
I didn't care to go with a thread adapter.
They could not thread a an open sighted standard barrel in 223, and retain the sight. Not enough material forward of the front sight.
They did good work on a 22-250 R8 standard, no sights.
That was last year. Things might have changed.
I have several R8 standard barrels that have been threaded to 5/8, so I know it can be done. Silencer Central must have had some issues and don't want to mess with it.

Re: Threading Blaser Barrels
Thanks for the feedback. Both barrels that I am sending in are semi-weight, so plenty of meat on the bone for the 5/8 thread pitch.
