Grade on Blaser gunstock?
Hi,
Does anyone know if these markings indicate the wood grade? The gun is a Blaser F16, sold as a grade 4, but the markings might represent something else. I came across them and thought I’d ask. I've also reached out to Blaser for clarification.

Hi Byrackan,
I cannot tell you anything with 100% certainty.
However I did purchase a grade four stock in 2017, and it was marked with a H.

Hi 9,3x64!
Thank you. I probably wasn’t as specific as I should have been as the big G stands out alot. But if you click on the picture there are two stamped markings right above and on either side of the hole in the stock which says ”G” on the left side and ”8” on the right side. I’Im wondering if they may represent the wood grade, even if it’s probably a long shot that mine would be grade 8.
Did you notice these stamped markings on your gun?

Re: Grade on Blaser gunstock?
I understand.
First off, I made a mistake with my above post. I initially wrote that I had a grade 5 stock, in fact it is only a four. Though it is a very nice grade four.
Now on the stock it has H, but I didn’t notice a 4.
However on the initial photo of the stock they sent me it had a label “HQ4 Links”.
Maybe yours is an 8, can you post a picture of it?
This is my grade 4. I actually think it is a fantastic grade 4.

I see, the markings might just be for something else than wood grade then.
Yes, here are some pictures.

That’s a beautiful stock set, but don’t think it is grade 8.
