Picked up a new hornet but my old favourite load of the 40gn V Max is too long for the magazine.
I'd like to get some 45gn barnes but I'm not sure if I can sear them deep enough to fit in the magazine.
Stabilising in the 1:16" twist barrel might be the next issue.
How far can you seat a 45gn barnes into a hornet case?

I'm soft and I don't care.

I can get hornady at my local, but anything more exotic is another story. But they can order in the barnes pretty easily.
I'd also like to try the little gun out on a few pigs that have been popping up a bit at a mates farm, you can't predict them or find them if you want to.
But they pop up from time to time, and it would be nice to have a few rounds ready to pop in if one turns up.
