Leupold VX-6HD Gen II

Post by shoots100 »

I've had a Leupold VX3 on my R8 for two years while saving up for an optic that had illumination, locking turrets and a larger Obj lens to let in more light.
My search ended when I found a good deal on a Leupold VX-6HD 4-24.
It has the firedot reticle, locking elevation & windage turrets, 52mm Obj lens and 34mm main tube.
The 52mm Obj and 34mm tube let in ample light to see clearly in low light and the firedot reticle is icing on the cake.
Made in the US of A, comes with Alumina scope caps and lifetime Leupold warranty.
Retains Zero with the Leupold QD mounts.
It doesn't weigh a lot either compared to other scopes in it's magnification range.
I also think it looks good on the R8 and as you know a rifle that looks good will make animals line up to get seen in a picture with it.
NY's Deer season opens Sat 11/15 and I'm itching to get out in the woods with it.

What a fabulous set-up!
Would you mind sharing the weight as seen in the photo?

Thanks,
