Funny day with the bow

Post by Olsen »

Last sunday we was 6 bow hunters, who meet, to have a good day shooting......

We startet with a lot of egg and bacon, some bread and coffee in the morning.......

Then we went out on a little "range" me and my freind had made, with some of my foam targets and some 3D deer

We had about 14 shot and heart gave 3 point, close to heart 1 point, and all other in the deer -1 point. A no hit was 0 point......

It was a very nice day, no wind and a little snow, make it all great.......

In the tree stand we had to make two shot, one sitting and one standing......

Good stuff.....

Guess no one had a 50m pin on that buck target......my longest is 40 so I would be just flinging one out there too! Long shots have become popular here, especially on the 3D courses.

In the US we can't bring any meat in from hunts outside the country; so thats cool your friend could bring some Whitetail home.

Nice, I have a mate shooting in a 35 shot open comp like that this weekend, he and another bloke have been trying to talk me into bow hunting for a while now.
I'm soft and I don't care.

Good practice Olsen. Are crossbows legal also in Denmark? There are two that kept coming to the top in my searches, and they were Ten Point and Excaliber. I went with the Excaliber because of simplicity, no cams, and can release without firing. It works very well, scope is much easier than pins, Waidmannsheil, Dom.
-------- There are those who only reload so they can shoot, and then there are those who only shoot so they can reload. I belong to the first group. Dom --------------

Is that because Denmark is still a kingdom ?

Is this some old law that prevented the bourgeois from owning deadly weapons ?

Or is this something modern ?
