Tried a pair a few years ago and whilst it lived up to the amplification claims it left a lot to be desired in the blocking out of gunshot noise. I'd probably go an expensive set of Beretta earmuffs if I was working at a range environment and needed to hear others speak

Use of good quality hearing protection cannot be emphasized enough.

My ears ring 24 hours a day, and I use moulded ear plugs and muffs.

Unfortunately the use of silencers is largely frowned on in the shooting world, millions of ears can be saved by allowing this.

Since I dont hear very well anymore, I use electronic muffs to both mange the blast as well as to pick up sounds. Very useful in a hunting situation.

Only problem is in a hot climate, the muffs get uncomfortable rather quickly, as one normally sweats a lot on the head. During cooler weather they are fine.

Some form of hearing protection is a must, and the Walker Ear does offer that, but I would suggest trying some good quality electronic muffs such a Peltor or Deben.

Hunter AU, I have used Sordin s for many years. Top class stuff. Been in my hunting bag for more than 5 years, and with all the dust and banging about, no problem. Batteries last a long long time and quality of sound is very good.

The new Sordin s should be even better.

I use the Peltor muffs (who also make the Beretta's and some others) at home/range and while on stand.

I always have a cheap set of foam ones on a head band and use them in the field or while sighting in away from home.

I can't get used to any plugs for long term and have a custom set that drives me crazy to wear for extended periods. I use muffs for work so I like them the best. They have cheaper silicone plugs that form to your ears and I wish I tried them first without dumping money into something I don't use.

Yes I bought the supreme pro X a couple of months ago. I called up MSA, found the distributers that got back to me. They had a special import of "two into australia" .They are the best I've used. With a discount they cost $380AUD.

I too purchased the Supreme Pro X, from what I have seen and heard I like them. I will test them on Sunday when I go for a shot.
