Once more another leopard attack
This happened recently in Nasik, near Mumbai, the financial capital of India.

Must still have a lot of leopards there. Or for some reason they're getting into towns or villages which obviously isn't a good idea for them.

Re: Once more another leopard attack
Interesting actions, must be leopards just roaming around and getting turned around in the populated areas.

Re: Once more another leopard attack
Amongst all the big cats of the world, the leopard is the most adaptable.
He can easily adjust to changing conditions, and often prefers to live on the outskirts of civilization where he is quite content catching dogs, goats even chickens.
Unfortunately, in the name of development, his bastions are being invaded and he is increasingly coming in conflict with Man.
The problem comes what to do with captured leopards, and this is increasing all the time.
It is clear now, that one cannot release them in some other area, they get disoriented and act violently.
And the days of putting them in zoos are long over.
As a hunter, and lover of wild places, it is distressing to see this conflict being created by this burgeoning population of people.
There are no clear answers to this.

Re: Once more another leopard attack
The only solution would be to relocate a few million of our Indian friends to North Dakota. Then the Leopards will have more room, that or hire Skeetshot out for Leopard thinning service.skeetshot wrote:Amongst all the big cats of the world, the leopard is the most adaptable.
