My favorite carry gun is a Smith j frame 637. It is an airweight model, and I can carry it in my waistband all day without a bother. I also have a Smith M38 "bodyguard", and a Smith M67.

Smith & Wesson in my pocket for about the past 20 years, always carried it as a second gun while working with the PD. Find I still carry it very often in a pocket holster or just in a waist band, just hope it's enough gun if I need a gun.

The one 38 Special I think everyone should have is a S&W 5 shot, Airweight either a Bodyguard or a Centennial.

I have been using one since the early 1970's. They are just so small and light, and far more reliable, especially in a grappling self defense situation over a small semi auto...

I prefer the Bodyguard as I am Old School and still thumb cock when the occasion deems it necessary. It is surising how accurate these little guns can be, I used to amaze many when I would qualify with a perfect score on my Depts. qualification 50 round course, where 26 of the 50 rounds were fired from 25 yards.

Back in the day I shot many a rabbit to feed the barn cats where my buddy kept his horse, we had to feed it every night.

I used Hollow Base Wadcutters loaded backwards over a fairly stiff powder charge...

I still carry that same Bodyguard when ever I leave my place..

If I was buying a new one today I would probably get the 357 Mag model, just to increase the ammo avialibility...

They work pretty good on snakes with Speer Shotshells as well.

I have this S&W 60. Very accurate at 15 m and a delight to carry when a bigger gun is out of the question
