What Happened to the New Year?

The last thing I remember, I was sitting in my recliner watching Disney channel with my wife and daughter.... All of a sudden, it is 6 am, and I am STILL sitting in my recliner in the same clothes that I wore yesterday. Oh well! I was going hunting again this morning anyway, and now I don't have to worry about what to wear. Happy New Year! (I guess...)

I woke up in my living room chair at 11:40 last night and went to bed. My lovely wife was able to make it until midnight even though she always goes to bed at 9:30. I was stone cold sober because I only had one beer at about 5PM yesterday. I say sober, but one beer has quite an affect on me at my age.

All I drank last night was coffee, and I STILL fell asleep before midnight.

Man you youngsters are making me feel good... I had a few 16 oz Margaritas and went to bed about 2 AM here. Course I hate getting up for any reason other then to go hunting or fishing so 9 AM was when my clock was set and even then I didn't feel like getting up. Going out to eat for New Years. No cooking today. Hope ya'll all have a good year!

I made it to 12:03, I cooked some bacon wrapped low prime ribeyes, and roasted some golden potato's-- made some brocolli (sp) and butter. Put the little one to bed, lit the firepit in the backyard and had a glass of wine and dinner alfresco with my wife. It was really nice. Watch other folks spend there hard earned cash on fire works--and a warm fire. I even had a nice cigar to finish off the night after Audra went in.

Good way to start 2010!

My wife made cinnamon rolls (canned, of course) for breakfast, and I just made me a snack of pan fried deer backstrap.

I will be going to work at 3 this afternoon and start the New Year making a little money.
