(Grains of powder) 45
(Brand, and type of primer) Federal 210
(COL) Pending, but the round was loaded to fit the R8 magazine
(FPS) Unkown
(Rifle) Blaser R8
(Barrel Length) 23 inches
(Scope) Schmidt & Bender PMII 3-12x50
(Weather conditions & temp.) 14 dgr Celsius / 57 dgr Fahrenheit, 2-4 mph wind from 9 o'clock
(Accuracy @ 100 yards/meters) about 0.4 " @ 100 yards
(Notes) a mate of mine kindly loaded a couple of batches of .308 Win. We first tested them at 300 yards, a week ago, in steps of 1 grain. Most loads were decent, but 45 grain did particularly well with five shots measuring 2"x1" (WxH). Wind was about 10 mph from 9 o'clock and did vary a bit when I shot the group.
Today we wanted to retest the 45 grain load, but also included two loads below and two above, in 0.3 grain increments. All loads did about 1" at 100 yards, but the 45 grain load really stood out. Five shots within a little less than 0.4".
Please see the image below for details. The grid on the target is in 1 cm increments.

Looks really good. Now try the BB MOA All Day test to see how it really shoots.

Thanks Bob. Yes, that was my plan as soon as I have a batch of them. I should have time for the range over the next week or so. Will keep you guys posted.stokesrj wrote:Looks really good. Now try the BB MOA All Day test to see how it really shoots.
