I suppose a K95 and a NV scope is sort of comparable to A fat girl and beer goggles

But yeah...if it works then looks don’t matter too much...........especially with beer goggles

Its a day night scope. Works perfect during the day and ive shot plenty of deer during the day with it in full HD colour.

I know most are going to say go the swaro but how does it compare to the others, hard part is finding a store with a decent selection of the above in stock that i can have a look at. Dont really feel like special ordering a $4k scope in to find out i dont like it....


for the hornet im thinking a little more reserved like a Z3 swarovski 3-9x36 or a fixed 6x Schmidt and bender Kalssik

Even if its not Zi versus its still a great scope. I'd have no problem putting the Z6i 1-6x24 on it either which is at a bargain price.

I’d like to add my .02 to the discussion.

I never owned a Zeiss V8 scopes, but I handled them some, and I think they’re probably all too big for the K95 (with the possible exception of the V8 1-8x30).

Like Bob, I have come to really, really appreciate the Swaro Z8i 1.7-13.3x42 rail mount. It is heavier than the Victory HT 2-10 railed scope, but it’s not a heavy scope in general and it’s really versatile. It does have a Parallex adjustment. To my eyes, it is as bright as my Zeiss 50mm objective scopes (and I’m getting older so I really appreciate “light gathering” ability now). The ability to go lower than 2x is really nice for driven hunts. With Swarovski’s detachable ballistic turret, you can go from really close woodland hunting (sans turret) to shooting at significant distance (with turret). The ability to change reticles at the flip of a button is nice, too.

To summarize, I feel that the Swaro 1.7-13.3x42 is the most versatile hunting scope on the market today. Bob mentioned Coues’ deer hunting with his - that’s a great testament to this scope’s versatility as most people chose a more long-range, higher-mag scope with bigger objective lens to hunt Coues deer with.

Lastly, though it adds some slight weight, I always go with a railed scope - particularly on any Blaser product - it’s a cleaner set-up, it allows more versatility in terms of adjusting the scope after you’ve been shooting it for awhile, it’s more rugged, etc.

Yes the Z6I 1-6x24 is very tempting, would go nice on the hornet and is a good price, just gotta sell a nightforce to make it happen

That might be the scope that goes on the double if I put one on.
It would definitely be worth putting on the K95 if the 2-7 Kahles ever packs it in.

Once I put my order in for mine I will more than likely go with the z5i 2.4-12x50

Ordered the Swaro Z8i 1.7-13.3x42 today for the 7x65r barrel
Now to decided on either the Z6i 1-6x24 or the 1.7-10x42 on the hornet barrel
