Sorry we missed you Spartan would of been good to catch up. Don't read to much into Mr Mason 1 word starts with a C and ends in T full of manure. most of the photos in the book belong to one of my mentors he called into his house one night and ask to look at some photos ask for a lend now you have a book with them in it. He took one look at me and his head went down. Wish i could of saved you the money mate. Any info you want on the Sambar PM me if I don't know will ask the Guru. if your looking for a good book Ken Pearce walk them up is a great book. The better you get at hunting sambar the more you will understand the book. But next time mate there is a beer with your name on it

Yeah i am with DH338 on that Mason dick. i know the guy who found him all the deer that his customers shot. I now hunt on that property and they told me that Mason will never set foot in the entire district because if he does he will end up with a face full of fist.

Next time we will try and organize it a little better. It was good to meet the other guys and would have been a blast to all hit the pub..!!

Take a look at page 211 and have a think about what certain groups are pushing as mandatory for deer hunters - quite a bit of overlap and I'm sure only a select few would be deemed qualified to teach such a 12 month course....

As for pics, I thought most were taken within Bunyip pen? (you know, the one that is being dismantled because it doesn't generate money and costs money to maintain....)

Mr mason, I wouldn't read to much into him. his name is mud now a days. My mate would like his photos back but it's a bit of a joke with him now. Bunyip well I had some mates one year as they need feed busted their ass for a month getting food for them didn't as much as get a thank you. I have some stories about that park as well.

I'm not sure that his reputation has caught up with him north of the border unfortunately...

It's lucky then that not many people really care about Sambar north of the border, we have so much other game to shoot

Looks like alot of water has flowed under that bridge. I don't know the bloke from a bar of soap other than it would appear he is a fellow Sambar hunter.

I was looking forward to hearing your hunting stories so next time we will need to plan a little better. I am sure when we do eventually catch up we will have a chance to chew the phat on this story.

Of a more pressing concern to me is that the Rut will be here soon and I am looking forward to submerging myself in a Sambar forest somewhere. Until then I will console myself with some duck shooting in March.

One more thing I forgot to mention he didn't learn to hunt off his own back. It was from sitting around the camp fire's of other hunters and picking there brains. Which is not a bad thing if your the average Joe, but if your trying to make out your some type of great guild with years of hunting behind you that doesn't add up to much. But anyhow he doesn't guild any more as he got kicked off the property and there is no one to fine the deer for him any more
