HI Guys,
Been reading a little on this forum recently after been shown the dark side (or the light, depending on your view!). I recently shot a Blaser in Sweden, both R8 and R93.
I am a deer stalker and part time game keeper. Reason for the Blaser revelation is accurate, light and versatile deer rifle. Got a new 6.5x284 barrel for an R93 and planning on buying a new R93 7x64 LH Pro.
Need to do some research into adjustable cheek pieces, and the best place to buy a Blaser from..
Thanks
Flyingfisherman

Welcome.
A waterflogger from Yorkshire who came to Sweden but ended up shooting a Blaser. Must be a story there...
I have an R93 Pro stock with adjustable cheek piece. I like.

Welcome.
Yorkshire? - Wots that my luver !
In all seriousness a R93 in a 7x64 is agreat choice. Davo6.5 has this plus a 6.5x284.
If we can help with helping you spend your money we will!
cheers chuck

Hi Guys,
thanks for the welcome. Just had an email back from a supplier today and says if i get an order in within a few days, i can guarantee a delivery before Christmas.
Was talking to a gamekeeper friend today, he was advising me to go for the success stock, but while in Sweden, i looked at one and thought it was a bit too 'tactical' for me..
Vaughan.. i went to Sweden and saw the light!! Was very taken with the country!

Welcome aboard. Glad you found the Blaser rifles - or that they found you....
If at all possible you might want to rethink the bit on the success stock. I don't recall anyone who's purchased one being unhappy with them. In fact most of the guys have been pretty vocal regarding how much they like the stock and the feel they have when shooting it. It is reported also that the stock tends to help with the recoil from the larger calibers. I've handled them at the shows and at Blaser USA and to me they feel great. I hope to acquire one sometime in 2015.
Good luck with your new rifle whichever one you wind up with.

+1 on what thechamp said, I have one and it is the most comfortable stock in have ever used. It does look a bit tactical as you say but don't let that put you off its a classic in the making.
Welcome to the forum by the way.
