A lot of things have been said about customer service, factory backup, and the suport of the "ownership" for the customers.
I would not be helping Chris out if I did not feel that Heym rifles were not great guns...
But since Chris is the sole Importer, any questions/concerns you have, you deal with him, and only him.
Also at Reno and at DSC we have the sole OWNER of Heym with us, in the booth.
I have hunted wild pigs with him here in Texas as well. He is a very remarkable individual in that he is more down to earth than most of us.
If the owners of Blaser were like Thomas, and Blaser USA were like Chris, from the start, we would have no problems.
The current Blaser USA people are the best for them so far, no doubt...
Blaser customers are the most Brand Loyal of any I have ever known in the Gun World...
This R8 "stuff" will not be good for Blaser.
They could take a good lesson from Heym.
Blaser has a great product, they fail on the personal contact, customer brand loyality, and marketing.
If I was their conslutant I could increase their sales in the US, 30% at least...
