BD14 Left Hand
For any left handed shooters out there intested in a left hand BD14, please see below reply yesterday from Darren Hull.
Also note the website will be at last updated soon for the BD14.
"The BD14 is offered with a left handed stock and with triggers formed for left handers.
The top lever opens to the right.
The website is being worked on and will hopefully be updated soon."

Funny you should say that.Gun Barrel Ecologist wrote:Any news on a synthetic stock for us heathens?
I have always thought a synthetic version of a drilling or the B95/97 would be a great idea.
The whole concept of drillings and combined guns is based on practicality, so why not a tough practical stock.

I've always sworn if I got a D99 I'd put it in a Novak stock for shear practicality and to wind up a traditionalist

I generally protect the rifle when I'm falling down a slope or into blackberries with my body9.3x64 wrote:Funny you should say that.Gun Barrel Ecologist wrote:Any news on a synthetic stock for us heathens?

In contrast I generally use synth stocked rifles as walking sticks to flatten blackberry or lantana on steep slopes so I don't go arse over tit

Yes, there is a lot to be said about a durable synthetic stock.
I have used my R8 Pro stock as a cricket bat before back in camp, only with a tennis ball of course.
I’m not a total savage.
Those Novak stocks have always appealed to me and they look great on the D99. K95 and B95/97.

Re: BD14 Left Hand
I'm a lefty and have a RH BD14. There is no cast to the stock and no RH palm swell. The RH cheekpiece leading edge interferes with the left hand a little, but not enough to cut it back

Re: BD14 Left Hand
Sometimes you see left hand stocks on Faceache and Egun, if you were ever interested in using a check piece.

Re: BD14 Left Hand
Vol423, your stock is nothing like mine. While mine has no cast, there is a palm swell. Additionally, the entire pistol grip is offset to the right of centerline about 3/8”. As a lefty, this makes for a very odd feeling grip (and yes, the cheekpiece does interfere a bit).

Re: BD14 Left Hand
I was wrong. Mine does have a palm swell. Too many guns to remember them all.
