Re: Kipplauf hunting
I managed to get out for a hint last night. Found a group of 3 red deer hinds just before dark. Hit it just behind the shoulder, but it took off into the scrub. I put my dog Lily on the track. She did a fantastic job of the track. Went over 100m with minimal blood and no prints. I wouldn’t have found her without the dog.

Yep did the blueprint with her. It’s good value. I did the pay by month option, not sure if he still offers that. I reckon it is why she did so well on the track. The progressions in the training program set the dog up well.Dinger wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 5:26 amGreat work mate...Being a Kiwi is Lily by chance on the 'Blueprint'?I managed to get out for a hint last night. I plan on following your lead... I'm retiring to the south! To Texas, likely.

Was able to punch my moose tag on Saturday. I used my K95 with 6.5 cm barrel. Double lung hit with a clean pass through.

Nice!!
"That if you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on the animal’s terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always recapture the day." —R.Ruark
